Teaching at all levels

Jennifer’s passion in teaching lead her to pursue a K-12 art education certification with attending Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville for her Master of Fine Arts Degree in Studio Art. She has taught in a number of school districts in Southern Illinois, and has also worked as an Instructor of Record and Curriculum in Fine art at SIUE.

In addition to art, Jennifer has been a software development teaching assistant for the LaunchCode program in St. Louis.

Elementary

Jennifer planned and ran multiple classes at a summer camp in Indiana. She was able to teach traditional photography, fiber work, and basic design for a rural community underserved with fine art experiences.

Community

At Art Park Ost and Gallery 1410, Jennifer offered a number of classes for the Granite City community. She taught group art classes and private lessons for homeschool students while offering art and yoga classes in the gallery space.

College and beyond

Through instructing art at the collegiate level, Jennifer connected with a number of BFA and MFA students who both interned and hosted their thesis shows at Jennifer’s gallery space. The connection of high quality fine art in the industrial town of Granite made a huge impact on the community and the artists.
