As a software developer for F/A 18 training systems, Jennifer worked side by side with pilots from the Navy. Their passion for the job and for flight inspired her to enroll in ground school and learn what flying was all about. After 16 weeks in class, Jennifer was hooked and begun her first flights in single-engine planes. Her instructor described her as a “duck in water” when she flies and both her workload and confidence improved with her exploration of a Private Pilots License.
Visual Flight Rating.
The Private Pilots License experience began with Visual Flight Rating (VFR) to begin with. The time Jennifer spent working with mapping and radar in the fighter-jet simulators got her prepared for these tasks and helped her fly through the mapping and charting. While she never thought she would fly planes, her love for motors, cars, and motorcycles quickly made her connect with the aircrafts and began a life-long love for flying.
